WOW! Reading some of the ordeals other individuals face allows me to view I am not alone. I am a 50-year-old female; raised my children alone for the past ten years after their father passed. This effort required me to work two jobs all these years. Now at this age, I am attempting to seek a degree of my own. I have suffered with leg pain for a few years now, but assumed it was due to waiting tables, and the amount of time I was on my feet each day. Recently, then forced to seek emergency room treatment for swelling in my leg, with excruciating pain. It was determined I have PAD (peripheral artery disease). Test shows there is no blood circulating through my right leg. The downfall of working as a server, there are no medical benefits, and if you do not work, you are not paid. I desperately need assistance paying my rent for this month. My stress level is high, due to the possibilities of the impact this disease could have on my health; and not having a roof over my head. Any avenues I could explore would be total blessings. Thanks for your time.
